The cost of a home inspection is very small compared to the value of a house.  The national average basic home inspection price for a 2000-3000sqft home is approximately $400 and that's a basic home inspection!  You have been shopping for every best deal you can find, looking for the best interest rate, adding up closing costs and crunching whatever number you can.  A good inspector earns his fees many times over. 

Our fee schedule is based upon many factors and may be lower than the average, or higher depending upon the inspection; not every home is the same.  If you find that Greg Scheer charges a little more than "the other guy," do yourself a favor - pay a little more for the quality inspection that you deserve...
